Texts can seem impersonal. Letters could look like a bill for student loans. No one has made a phone call since 1992. So the idea for Friendship Postcards was born.
We wrote a bunch of postcards and hired our friends to illustrate them. We ran a successful Kickstarter campaign together to fund the first printing, and shipped a month early.
We did our best to think though every detail to ensure that it would be as simple as possible for a backer to receive their Kickstarter rewards and immediately, painlessly start reaching out to friends. To do this, we made the packaging as welcoming as possible, and included a backer tier that included a set of stamps.
And the unthinkable happened: with our deep knowledge of logistics and fulfillment from working at Blackbox, we were able to ship a month earlier than we anticipated.
